Huntington Park, Los Angeles County
Huntington Park incorporated in 1906 and took the name of Henry E. Huntington in the hope that his electric railway would serve the new town, which it did. Pacific Boulevard grew into one of the busiest shopping streets in Los Angeles County, lined with department stores and movie palaces. It remains crowded today, known especially for its bridal and quinceanera dress shops.
